In September 2024 a group of business leaders in Southern Indiana came together for one common goal-business empowerment. Each person saw the need and had a desire to create a thriving community for minority entrepreneurs in Floyd, Clark, and Harrison Counties. After the first year of existence, the team gained more insight into the two core values upholding the organization-education and economic development. From the data, a more focused approach evolved into the Indiana Business Empowerment, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity committed to fostering opportunities for minority businesses.
